The Empty

The Empty

By Daniel Whittaker

In his later years, Daniel Whittaker returned to the Potteries and wrote down the story of his life - how he was brought up in Burslem, one of the six towns, when the Pottery industry was flourishing, moved to the South West of England on completeing his apprenticeship as a telephone engineer, how he met and married Christine, and their happy life together till tragedy overtakes them.

The Empty is an extremely powerful, and often very painful, account of grief and loss and how it changes people’s lives.
